The representative of the KUMS International Affairs, Mr. Sirous Tooshmali, participated in the 24th International Book Fair in Baghdad. This exhibition, publishers attended from 16 countries including the Islamic Republic of Iran, Turkey, the United States, Lebanon, Egypt, Morocco, Syria, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia to present various books and publications. Representatives from Sharif University of Technology, Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Art University, Petroleum University, Bu-Ali Sina University of Hamedan, Ilam University of Medical Sciences, Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz, and Mazandaran University were also participated in this scientific and cultural event.
Some of the achievements during this visit included:
1. Meeting the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Baghdad, Mr. Mohammad Kazem Al-Sadiq Iraq to present the education at KUMS .
2. Meeting the Deputy of the Ministery of Science in Iraq and the Deputy of the Ministery of Culture in Iraq, Mr. Nawfal Hilal Aburghif, and discussing the available fields of study and academic levels in Iranian universities, especially KUMS.
3. Initial admission of more than 53 Iraqi students in various levels at KUMS.
4. Introducing the potentials and facilities of the KUMS to Iraqi applicants and their parents.
5. Negotiating and collaborating with the representatives of Iranian universities to exchange ideas and experiences in process of international students admission.
