Admission of Foreign Students

 

Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences has started activities in the field of attracting international students by enrolling 35 non-Iranian students Since 2016. To date, 600 non-Iranian students have entered the university from Iraq, Pakistan, Somalia, Bahrain, and Norway, studying in various medical fields. 

 

       

  •  2016: 35 students
  • 2017: 75 students
  • 2018: 132 students 
  • 2019: 188 students
  • 2020-present: 170 students 

 

Student File Issuance and Enrolment:

Documents are received from applicants in three ways:

 

  • Agent 
  • Website 
  • Introducer 

After issuance of an electronic file and assessing the documents by an expert in terms of providing all necessary documents, the file is sent to the related faculty via a letter. Follow-up should occur in case of lack of receiving a response from the faculty after one-two weeks. If accepted, the client will receive an acceptance letter from the faculty and information about how to enroll and apply for a student visa. In the case of being a graduate student, the client should refer the faculty for an interview based on a previously announced date. After the interview, the faculty will announce the assessment results and issue an acceptance letter. In addition, the client will receive information on how to enroll and apply for a student visa. 

Final Enrollment: 

After paying the tuition fees, providing the original documents, and filling out the relevant forms, the client will receive a letter from the international affairs department, which will be used to complete the enrollment process in the vice chancellor for education.

Consular affairs: all consular affairs are carried out by the international affairs management department through correspondence with the ministry of health, the passport police office, and the immigration police of the province throughout the curriculum. These affairs include: 



  • Issuance of student visa
  • Issuance of a residence permit for the purpose of study
  • Issuance of a family residence 
  • Exit and entry to the country 
  • Exit and entry of family members 
  • Transfer of residence to a new passport
  • Definitive leave and cancellation of residence

Issuance of Student Visa: 

 

  • Submitting a request for issuance of study visa on www.saorg.ir and receiving a tracking code 
  • Submitting a request by a consular specialist and sending the request to the Director-General of Non-Iranian Student Affairs Department for approval and granting permission to study 
  • Sending the letter and attached documents (an ID photo, the first page of passport and student form) to the ministry of health to receive a study visa 

 

Issuance of a Residence Permit for the Purpose of Study: 

Sending the university letter and attached documents to the ministry of health, including student visa, Iran entry stamp, and the first page of passport to issue a one-year permit 

Permit Extension:

Sending the university letter and documents, including the first page of passport and permit page to the ministry of health two months before the end of the permit date 

Issuance of Family Residence: 

It is only issued for the spouse and children of students. After issuing a residence permit for the student, a letter from the university is sent to the ministry of health along with attached documents (translation of license of marriage approved by the embassy), the first page of the passport, residence permit of the student, and the first page of the passports of all family members to issue a family residence permit. 

Exit and Entry of Students: 

Students should refer to the international affairs department and provide their passport and enrollment certificate in order to exit the country. Afterwards, they should refer to the passport office to do the rest of the work.

Exit and Entry of Family Members: 

Permission is granted to married students who have received a family residence permit. These individuals should refer to the international affairs department and provide their own and all of their family members’ passports and their enrollment certificate to receive a family exit permit. Afterwards, they should refer to the passport office to do the rest of the work.

Transfer of Residence to a New Passport:

It is done for students with expired passports. The residence permit of students is transferred to the new passport after referring to the international affairs department and presenting an enrollment certificate. Afterwards, they should refer to the passport office to do the rest of the work.

Definitive Leave and Cancellation of Residence:

Sending the university letter and attached documents (the first page of the passport and residence permit) to the ministry of health for graduates or transferred students for definitive leave and cancelation of residence.
