Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences Climbs 39 Places in Global Webometrics Ranking

The announcement from the Director of Medical Information and Scientific Resources, Dr. Bahrami, indicates that Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences has achieved significant rankings. The university has secured the 2944th global rank out of more than 30,000 universities and research centers, marking a climb of 39 places over the last 6 months.

Dr. Yadollah Bahrami, in conversation with the university's Public Relations, highlighted the university's improvement at the national level, advancing 3 positions to reach the 21st rank among the country's medical sciences universities. Moreover, the university's rank in the "Visibility" index has improved from 8091 to 7468, placing it in the 64th position nationally, per the webometrics ranking system.

Dr. Bahrami emphasized that despite the progress, further efforts are necessary to achieve the desired and ideal position. He underlined the importance of web ranking in attracting international students, fostering international collaborations, and enhancing the university's global and regional prominence. He stressed that content optimization, including improving content quality, utilizing appropriate keywords, updating website content, creating valid links, and engaging in positive social media activities, can significantly enhance the university's visibility and search engine results.

Acknowledging the achievement as a result of continuous efforts, Dr. Bahrami expressed hope for maximum growth in indicators and the prominence of Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences on national and global levels. He emphasized the need for employing English-fluent staff to enhance the English content of the university's website and highlighted the responsibility of departments of international affairs and statistics and information technology in this regard. Dr. Bahrami attributed the success to the support of the university's Chancellor and Vice Chancellor of Research and Technology and extended congratulations to the university on this accomplishment.
